Microbiological Water Testing
Our microbiological monitoring programme includes the routine sampling and testing for the presence of bacteria to assess the effectiveness of your current water treatment which is accredited by UKAS to EN ISO 17025 General requirements.
Hot Tub & Spa Water Management Service
Penguin Spas provides a Microbiological Water Analysis Service for holiday homes with hot tubs and spas across Scotland, all in accordance with current HSE guidelines and uses a UKAS accredited laboratory to offer a broad chemical and microbiological analytical service.
The Microbiological Water Analysis Service for hot tubs and spas includes a site visit from a qualified and accredited water technician from Penguin Spas, who will then take samples from each of your hot tubs, safe transportation to avoid contamination and informative reporting of results.
Routinely analysed to ensure the continued effectiveness
The monitoring programme includes the routine monthly sampling and testing for the presence of bacteria and includes an ACC (or total viable or total colony count), coliforms, E coli, and P aeruginosa, in addition to quarterly tests for legionella.
The ACC will give an indication of the overall microbiological quality of the hot tub and whether microbiological control is being achieved. This is carried out in accordance with BS EN ISO 622228 with incubation at 37 °C for 24 hours.
