Hot Tub & Swim Spa Technician - UK

Due to business growth, Penguin Spas Outdoor Living are looking for an experienced repair and service technician to join our expanding team installing and servicing hot tubs and swim spas across the UK. Role: Hot Tub and Swim Spa Technician

Job Type: Full Time

Location: South Lanarkshire, Scotland - UK Wide

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000. Salary subject to qualifications and experience. Salary can be increased subject to successful completion of training and targets.


Main duties and tasks

  • Installation of new hot tubs and swim spas

  • Ability to quickly assess the situation and determine the appropriate steps necessary to resolving the issue.

  • Provide outstanding customer service and provide clear and concise information to customer.

  • Ability to test and treat pool and spa water.

  • Familiarity with and ability to troubleshoot, repair and install- pumps, filter systems, plumbing, heaters and scratch repairs.

  • Complete all repairs in accordance to Company policies and procedures.

  • Report any issues seen with the hot tub to supervisor or head of department.

  • Strong sense of time and productivity management.


What we’re looking for in our Hot Tub and Spa Technician

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within industry

  • Must be self-motivated and enjoy working outdoors in all weather

  • Willing to travel & have a full UK driving (company vehicle will be provided)

  • Experience of hot tub and swim spa maintenance, Water Regulations or as a Water Hygiene Technician would be an advantage


The ideal candidate will;

  • Have a strong background in electrical or plumbing trade

  • Hold a full driving licence up to 3.5 tonnes and trailer, with experience of driving long wheel base vans.

  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills, remaining professional at all times.

  • Must be aware of the condition of the tub at all times and take immediate steps to correct any unsafe condition.

  • Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by your line manager. Inspect and maintain all tools in excellent condition.

  • Be able to take direction and instructions easily.

  • Must be able to safely lift 350kg/heavy lifting for hot tub deliveries on a daily basis, with safety being important at all times.

  • Dedicated, conscientious worker with a positive, "cando" attitude to create a friendly environment for clients and co-workers.

  • Openness to new ways of thinking and acquiring new skills to retain a competitive advantage.
